The War of Ideas is about the War on Islam, and the War on Islam is not something new, it started during the early days of Islam, when the Prophet ﷺ started to teach people about Islam. They attacked Muhammed ﷺ, calling him a liar, a poet, a crazy man, a magician, etc.
When you sit with someone who is mentally challenged, you would know that there is something wrong with him in 10 minutes. They knew the Prophet ﷺ for forty years before, they knew him as wise, generous;- they knew he could not be crazy or mentally challenged.
As for being a poet, he was illiterate. And all good poets had this talent from an early age; Muhammed ﷺ was nothing like that.
They told Muhammed ﷺ, "If you want wealth, we will give you (as much) wealth, if you want a beautiful woman, we will marry her to you." But the Prophet replied, "Even if they place the sun in my right-hand, and the moon in my left-hand in return for giving up this matter (Dawah to Islam), I will never stop – until; - either Allah makes it (the religion of Allah) triumph or I die defending it." [As-Seerah an-Nabaweyyah, Ibn Hisham (vol.1, p.265-266)]
They attacked Muhammed ﷺ because they could not attack Islam. What could they say about Islam? Islam teaches us to be good to our parents, our neighbours, the weak, to be fair to those who cannot take their rights, etc.
Muhammed ﷺ was victorious in the end, but the War on Islam has continued since then.
Then came the Crusades, Colonialism, Orientalists, etc. The real goal behind these is to attack Islam. During these periods, Islam for the Muslims was not affected. Even when the Mongols defeated the Muslims, their Aqeedah (Creed) inside their hearts was not defeated. It was the first time in history that the victorious nation accepted the religion of the defeated nation; so the Mongols accepted Islam after defeating them. Islam and the Muslims were always victorious, regardless of the martial defeat, and their Aqeedah was always on top.
When they colonized the countries, they used education. Arab students were not allowed to study in Arabic, they studied in English, French, etc. Their language was removed from them, why? Because they want to cut the link between the young people, their books, their religion. So even when they have the desire to study their religion, they cannot; they first have to study their language. And Arabic is not an easy language. Countries such as Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, are still suffering.
They use the media and television to attack Islam and the Muslims. Until some years ago, the effect was not that much.
"One resists the invasion of armies, but one does not resist the invasion of Ideas"
When your ideas are corrupt and changed, your deeds, your look, your everything changes.
The Meaning of the War of Ideas
An Egyptian Priest (Ibraheem Khaleel Phillips) who had accepted Islam spoke about how he was trained to plant doubts among Muslims using the teachings of Islam, or as he puts it, "How to destroy Islam by Muslims"
He said: "We were treated with utmost care. We were 12 students and were assigned to 12 American Teachers and 7 Egyptian Teachers. We were taught future debates with Muslims and how to use our knowledge to fight the Quran with Quran and Islam with black spots in the history of Muslims. We debated with Azhar Sheikhs and Muslims, using verses outside of their real context to serve our goal (which was to plant doubts and deviate them).
We had books such as Kitab AlHidaya which was first published in Egypt with the help of American Missionaries in 1898. We also used the books of so called Muslims who were agents for Orientalists such as Taha Hussein and his book الشعر الجاهلي.
And it was based on this that I wrote my thesis under the title "How to destroy Islam using Muslims" and spent four years writing and practicing this after my graduation" After all this, he accepted Islam.
Another American Lady in Kuwait told her story of how she reverted to Islam:
Allah tells us in the Quran, in Surah Al-Anfal [8:36]:
"Verily, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend it; but in the end it will become an anguish for them. Then they will be overcomed. And those who disbelieve will be gathered unto Hell."
It's the Same Old Scheme....
In Surah Aal-Imran [3:72]:
"And a party of the people of the Scripture say: "Believe in the morning in that which is revealed to the believers (Muslims), and reject it at the end of the day, so that they may turn back."
How was it 5 years ago? The Egyptian Priest was about 70 years ago, the American Lady about 20 or 30 years ago. But even 5 years ago is not like today, the tools they used to attack us was different from now. There was Paltalk, but you had to have a computer in order to use it, and it was only available to some. The internet was limited then.
They used women and feminists organizations, some pockets of information in the newspaper, but that was it. And the young people were not interested in it.
Now it is very dangerous, because all people rich or poor, male or female, educated or not educated, have smart devices and 24 hours internet conenction. This is what is changing the rules of the game. We have to take what is happening seriously.
This device enables them to come inside our houses and invade us. A lot of people are heedless about it. If you have a son or daughter, if they have a smart phone and internet connection, there is a 99% chance they have been exposed to this. .
What makes it dangerous is that we do not know them, no one knows who they really are, because you can create fake ID's on Twitter and Facebook. And they specialize in all countries, not necessarily just Arab Muslims.
Who are "They"?
1) Either Atheists who are against all religions, regardless. They hate the idea of God, but out of all the Religions, Islam is the most dangerous of all of them because Islam is powerful, it is the truth, and it is spreading.
2) Christians and Jews, pretending to be atheists or Muslims in doubt. In Arab Societies you find Arab Christians having more hatred towards Islam than other Christians.
Know their tricks - they do not directly come to people telling them to deny God, become atheists, etc. They come gradually and plant misconceptions about Islam. If you are lady they say how come a lady marries one while a man gets to marry up to four, why is her witness half of that of a man, etc.
When our children hear misconceptions one after another they become stuck. She cannot tell her mother because she is afraid. Right now we do not know what our children see or hear. She can delete the app when you want to see and reinstall it when you are gone. You cannot protect her against it, but you can protect her heart. It is not just our children, even we could be exposed to misconceptions which affect our hearts.
There is a book of testimonials of 71 Arab Muslims who turned Atheists. If she is a woman you find her into fornication, because there is no God. If there is no God, there is no Day of Judgement. There is no Day of Judgement, so there is no moral code.
When young people are exposed to misconceptions one by the other their heart is removed from Islam and they cannot worship God nor remove themselves from Islam, so they are trapped. They cannot tell you and there is no one who understands them, so they cry and cry, and some try to commit suicide because they have no hope. This life is all that they have. They have 60 or 70 years; 20 of them I am too young. 20 of them I am too old. I have 20 in between and I don't know, will I have a husband, will I have children, am I smart enough, am I beautiful, other people have and I do not have, etc.
Without God this life is a living hell.
We have hope, we know that this life is Dunya, that we will be reunited with our loved ones in Paradise. Because we have hope, this life is bearable. But without hope this life is full of sickness, accidents, death, mishaps, trials. If you look at this life without Satan making it beautiful, it is lousy. And this is what they come to when they do not believe in God. In the end, these 71 came back to Islam.
But they came out of Islam before, and the numbers are doubling. Our children do not know they are the target, and we are heedless. They are being kidnapped in front of our eyes. They are living in their room but their soul and heart is not with you. You talk about the Prophet ﷺ and they do not want to talk to you. A lot of them have doubts in the Quran and Sunnah - you have some at the brink of atheism questioning the authenticity of the Sunnah. This is not a coincidence; it is a plan against the Muslims.
They are either Atheists or Christians pretending to be atheists - because when they make fun of God they never make fun of Jesus and the Cross, just Islam.
This is falsehood, regardless of where they are from. And the guide of falsehood is the Shaytan, as Allah says in Surah Al-An'aam [6:131]:
What are their Characteristics?
1. Their Call is a Chaotic One
They do not have a very good plan. Atheism is a very chaotic call. They come, demolish your building, and run away, building nothing. They take you from your palace and throw you in the desert. They do not strive to answer questions about their own ideas, but pose questions about Islam.
They ask: Why is there evil? Why do people have to go through pain?
We reply: Because this life is a test. Because Allah never ever promised this life to be free of trials. On the contrary, He told us that we will be tested, what to do during the calamity, the reward inside the calamity. We are given all this as Muslims.
You ask them: Why is there evil?
Their Answer: Because there is no God.
So they live in pain, swallow it, and die.
2. They use Big Slogans: Freedom, Not Following Blindly, etc. to come to young people, and when you come and open it you find nothing.
3. They are after the Foundation of Islam in our heart. Their goal is not to deviate people with pornography, they want to remove Islam from our hearts. Pornography could come with curiosity in kids, and is dangerous, because this is the way they get addicted to it, and they want freedom to do what they see, but the target is Islam in itself.
Young people of both genders are under their fire. And they can be divided into two categories:
1. Those who are playing and having fun; not really affected by these ideas.
2. Those who adopt these ideas and try to spread it amongst their peers.
Why?
1. Due to lack of يقين (Certainty in Belief), and this is due to lack of Knowledge.
They come before the children have the chance to study about Islam.
In the past the children here in Muslim Countries were protected. The media was censored, the tv was under control. Now it is not under control.
2. Immersion in Desires
Boys have more means of following their desires.
3. Weak research abilities or laziness to do so.
They are asked questions and do not know how to answer because they do not have the critical mind to do so, and are lazy to ask. There is no misconception on earth which has not been answered by the Scholars.
4. They have a lot of spare time, a lot of spare money, and a lot of spare emotions.
A girl is not allowed to marry until she is 20,23,24 - thus spare emotions.
5. Internal Defeat.
They are not proud of being Muslims anymore. During the attack of the Mongols, the countries of Islam were defeated by war, but they were not defeated inside; they were proud of their Religion.The Mongols then accepted Islam. Now this is no more; they think the West have it and they have nothing
6. Lack of a place where these young children can ask about these issues without fear.
When they have these questions they are afraid to ask their parents, so the misconceptions trap them and they do not know what to do.
7. Lack of plan which directs these young plan to protect themselves and others.
They do not know they are responsible for Islam just as much as everyone else.
If there is no enemy, America will create an enemy for people. But we are heedless. We are not obsessed with them, but they are obsessed with us. There are more than 1000 think tanks talking about Islam. They are after our Faith and Religion.
You see the news is all about Muslims, and whether you like it or not you are a terrorist. Whether you like it or not, you are ISIS and a Wahhabi. When you say that we do not agree the views of ISIS, they do not hear you. Then when they strike us they have the right to do so because we are "Terrorists".
A Glad Tidings.....
Islam Prevails and this is a Promise of Allah.
Islam will never be defeated. It prevailed, prevails, and will prevail. Allah said in Surah At-Tawbah [9:32]:
"They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it"
If people blow at the sun, can they extinguish its light?
And in a Surah As-Saff [61:8]:
"They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it."
And in Surah Al-Anbiyaa [21:105]:
"And indeed We have written in Zabur (Psalms) [i.e. all the revealed Holy Books the Taurat (Torah), the Injeel (Gospel), the Quran] after (We have already written in) Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (the Book, that is in the heaven with Allah), that My righteous slaves shall inherit the land (i.e. the land of Paradise)."
In Surah Mujadilah [58:5]:
"Verily, those who oppose Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ) will be disgraced, as those before them (among the past nation), were disgraced. And We have sent down clear Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). And for the disbelievers is a disgracing torment."
And in [58:21]:
"Allah has decreed: "Verily! It is I and My Messengers who shall be the victorious." Verily, Allah is All-Powerful, All-Mighty."
It had already been written. You are going to a football match and you already know the results. This defeated keeper will eventually have the upper hand. Islam is high above them, it will never be defeated. Islam is the fastest growing religion.
We are not afraid for Islam, we are afraid for ourselves, our children. There will be casualties in this war. We want to die as Muslims. In Surah Muhammed [47:38]:
"....And if you turn away (from Islam and the obedience of Allah), He will exchange you for some other people, and they will not be your likes."
In Surah Al-Maa'idah [5:54]:
"O you who believe! Whoever from among you turns back from his religion (Islam), Allah will bring a people whom He will love and they will love Him; humble towards the believers, stern towards the disbelievers, fighting in the Way of Allah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers. That is the Grace of Allah which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is All-Sufficient for His creatures' needs, All-Knower."
Islam is spreading in the US and Western Converts are not like us. They are proactive. The minute they accept Islam and it is in their hearts, they fight for it, while we sit and lower our defence walls. If we are not there, Allah can replace us and bring others who will defend Islam.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
بادروا بالأعمال فتناً كقطع الليل المظلم يصبح الرجل مؤمنا ويمسي كافراً ويمسي مؤمنا ويصبح كافراً، يبيع دينه بعرض من الدنيا
"Be prompt in doing good deeds (before you are overtaken) by turbulence which would be like a part of the dark night. A man would be a believer in the morning and turn to disbelief in the evening, or he would be a believer in the evening and turn disbeliever in the morning, and would sell his Faith for worldly goods." [Muslim]
This Hadith applies to us now. Before she sleeps she opens YouTube and listens to 5 or ten minutes, and the misconceptions sinks into her heart. She wakes up for Fajr not wanting to pray anymore, her heart is stiff, her eyes are like glass.
There was a Muslim girl who took a picture of all of the people prostrating and captioned it "A free woman among slaves" referring to herself as a free woman.
This is what the Prophet ﷺ was warning us against, your faith could be taken away with the smallest doubt planted in your heart.
Although there is grave danger surrounding us, there is good in it. It makes us learn our Religion with evidences and hold fast to it, as opposed to mere inheritance of the Religion.
How should we deal with this?
We should first know that we are in a war. We did not ask for is and we did not initiate it, but we need to defend ourselves whether we like it or not. In Surah Al-Baqarah [2:109]:
"Many of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) wish that if they could turn you away as disbelievers after you have believed, out of envy from their ownselves, even, after the truth (that Muhammad Peace be upon him is Allah's Messenger) has become manifest unto them. But forgive and overlook, till Allah brings His Command. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things."
And in Surah An-Nisa [4:89]:
"They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected (Faith), and thus that you all become equal (like one another). So take not Auliya' (protectors or friends) from them, till they emigrate in the Way of Allah (to Muhammad ﷺ). But if they turn back (from Islam), take (hold) of them and kill them wherever you find them, and take neither Auliya' (protectors or friends) nor helpers from them."
We should let our children know. Tell them there are groups after them - you cannot be with them all the time, they should defend themselves. They want to kidnap your heart. Allah tells us that they want to remove our religion from us.
In volleyball one throws a ball and another smashes it. This is what happens. One says something, another person validates it pretending not to know, and this poor girl is in the middle not knowing what is happening.
How do I refute misconceptions about Islam?
1. You don't need to know how
2. Keep away from them
The Salaf said that "Misconceptions are Kidnappers"; meaning they kidnap your brain. The Prophet ﷺ ordered us to keep away from the Dajjal if he comes out while we are living, and said that a man would go to him thinking he is safe and a strong believer, but then will end up following him because of what the Dajjal raises of doubts and suspicions.
-> A deviated man came to Ayyub As-Sakhtyany and asked him about a word. Ayyub left him without telling him even half a word.
-> Two deviated men came to Muhammed Ibn Sireen and said "We will tell you something" He refused. They said "We will recite a verse from the Quran (as evidence.)" He said, "Either you stand up and walk away from me or I will leave this place." So the two men stood up and walked away.
-> When a man told Hasan AlBasri that he wanted to debate with him in matters of Religion, he said "As for me I am satisfied with my religion, if you have lost yours, then go find it elsewhere."
-> Similarly, when some deviated people came to argue with Imam Malik Ibn Anas, he said "I am clear about my religion, as for you, you are doubt, so go to someone like you in doubt and argue with him"
-> Ibn Tawoos was sitting when one of the Mu'tazilah (a group who say that the mind and logic is the highest authority, even above the Qur'an and Sunnah) came. He said to his son, "O Son, put your thumb inside your ears and do not listen to what he says, because the heart is weak"
When you have reached certainty, do not open doors for them.
-> In Usool As-Sunnah, Imam Ahmed said:
الإيمان بالقدر خيره و شره و التصديق بالأحاديث فيه و الإيمان بها، لا يقال: لمَ، و لا كيف؟ إنما هو التصديق و الإيمان بها، و من لم يعرف تفسير الحديث و يبلغه عقله فقد كفي ذللك و أحكم له، فعليه الإيمان به و التسليم
To believe in the Qadar (Pre-Decree) of Allah, whether good or evil, and to believe in the Hadeeth, and not to say: Why, or How?
It is but belief and trust in it. If someone does not know the meaning of a Hadith or his mind and logic does not reach its meaning, then he is spared from this and he has to belief and submit.
-> Imam Ibn Taymiyah told his student Ibn Qayyim, "Do not allow your heart to be a sponge that sucks every doubt they throw you, but make it a glass that sees the doubt from outside, but it never enters the heart."
Whatever they are saying is falsehood. You do not know how to answer, but it is false.
A lot of the seventy One people became atheists because they wanted to defend Islam. They went to argue. But do not be naive, they are not here to be persuaded and argue to get the truth, they are here to plant doubts and take you out of Islam.
A young Muslim comes and feels so much emotion, that he or she expects the other person will believe and accept immediately because they are coming with the truth. But then the other person says, "Do you really believe this nonsense, that Mohammed ﷺ flew from Makkah on an animal. Do you really believe the sun prostrates..." and they make fun of them, so this young 13 or 14 year old feels crushed.
Do not think they come here to be persuaded, they come here to kidnap your religion. They will never accept whatever you tell them. Do not be naive. Understand their motives.
3: It is perfectly ok if you do not know the answer. We are not Scholars.
4. But know that every Misconception and Doubt has an answer; and they all have been refuted by the Scholars.
5. If they insist on debating and asking you questions, give them professional websites which debate and answer them.
If they say, "You do not know" do not try to answer them. If they ask you a question, you ask one back. Defend by being attacking. Allah says in Surah Al-Qasas [28:49]:
6. Tasleem; Submission to Allah
This is a worship of the heart. Part of our religion is believing in the unseen. Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah [2:3]:
"Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them"
But it is not blind faith; it is actually built on logic.
Imam Ibn Taymiyah said that not everyone needs to have proof, many believe in Allah without needing it.
The existence of Allah is a logical proof. And this God should be One. And He should have such and such attributes otherwise the world we see it will not be as it is. You can deduct a lot of things logically.
Once you have established all these, then do not go back and revisit every misconception. When they go back and ask: "But does Allah exist, is the Quran true..." you have already established it.
To submit is to accept all that Allah has decreed Legislatively and Universally:
Submitting to Legislative Decrees
1. Believing in all that Allah ordered us to believe in
2. To do what Allah ordered us to do
3. To refrain from what He forbade
The Prophet ﷺ told us the sun prostrates. We do not know, but we believe. He did not tell us it prostrates like us.
Submitting to Universal Decrees
1. By Accepting what is Decreed
2. Being patient with Calamities
3. Push the Qadar of Allah with the Qadar of Allah
E.g. Sickness with Medicine.
The Prophet ﷺ said it is from the Qadar of Allah. But depend on Him, while your heart is with Allah.
This cannot be done until we clean the heart from 4 diseases:
1. Misconceptions and Doubts which opposes Faith in Islam
2. Desires which oppose the orders of Allah
3. Corrupt Will which opposes Sincerity to Allah
4. Rejection of Allah's Fate
Verses which praise Tasleem:
In Surah An-Nisa [4:125]:
"And who can be better in religion than one who submits his face (himself) to Allah (i.e. follows Allah's Religion of Islamic Monotheism); and he is a Muhsin (a good-doer ). And follows the religion of Ibrahim (Abraham) Hanifa (Islamic Monotheism - to worship none but Allah Alone). And Allah did take Ibrahim (Abraham) as a Khalil (an intimate friend)."
And in Surah Luqman [31:22]:
"And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a doer of good - then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold. And to Allah will be the outcome of [all] matters."
Verses which warn against leaving Tasleem:
In Surah An-Nisa [4:60]:
"Have you seen those (hyprocrites) who claim that they believe in that which has been sent down to you, and that which was sent down before you, and they wish to go for judgement (in their disputes) to the Taghut (false judges, etc.) while they have been ordered to reject them. But Shaitan (Satan) wishes to lead them far astray."
وَعَظَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ مَوْعِظَةً ذَرَفَتْ مِنْهَا الْعُيُونُ وَوَجِلَتْ مِنْهَا الْقُلُوبُ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذِهِ لَمَوْعِظَةُ مُوَدِّعٍ فَمَاذَا تَعْهَدُ إِلَيْنَا قَالَ " قَدْ تَرَكْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْبَيْضَاءِ لَيْلُهَا كَنَهَارِهَا لاَ يَزِيغُ عَنْهَا بَعْدِي إِلاَّ هَالِكٌ مَنْ يَعِشْ مِنْكُمْ فَسَيَرَى اخْتِلاَفًا كَثِيرًا فَعَلَيْكُمْ بِمَا عَرَفْتُمْ مِنْ سُنَّتِي وَسُنَّةِ الْخُلَفَاءِ الرَّاشِدِينَ الْمَهْدِيِّينَ عَضُّوا عَلَيْهَا بِالنَّوَاجِذِ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِالطَّاعَةِ وَإِنْ عَبْدًا حَبَشِيًّا فَإِنَّمَا الْمُؤْمِنُ كَالْجَمَلِ الأَنِفِ حَيْثُمَا قِيدَ انْقَادَ
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered a moving speech to us which made our eyes flow with tears and made our hearts melt. We said: 'O Messenger of Allah. This is a speech of farewell. What did you enjoin upon us?' He said: 'I am leaving you upon a (path of) brightness whose night is like its day. No one will deviate from it after I am gone but one who is doomed. Whoever among you lives will see great conflict. I urge you to adhere to what you know of my Sunnah and the path of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs, and cling stubbornly to it. And you must obey, even if (your leader is) an Abyssinian leader. For the true believer is like a camel with a ring in its nose; wherever it is driven, it complies." [Ibn Majah]
A lady on YouTube (Noor Nasakh) related the story of her mother who converted to Islam. She said, "I asked Allah to guide me, I wanted the truth no matter what it takes. I asked Allah for it on three different days." Her daughter embraced Islam in Egypt, and came to America and she was guided through her.
She wanted the truth no matter what it took, and there must be truth in asking for guidance. If that is in your heart, Allah will never leave you. If you are really afraid and want Allah to make you die as a Muslim and do not want to be deviated. This was the concern of Yusuf عليه السلام after all the events that took place in his life. In Surah Yusuf [12:101]:
"My Lord! You have indeed bestowed on me of the sovereignty, and taught me the interpretation of dreams; The (only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector, Helper, Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as a Muslim (the one submitting to Your Will), and join me with the righteous."
-> Adam عليه السلام and the Tree
When Allah ordered Adam عليه السلام. to not eat from the tree, He did not tell him why. Adam عليه السلام's job was to listen. In Surah AlBaqarah [2:35]:
"And We said: "O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the Paradise and eat both of you freely with pleasure and delight of things therein as wherever you will, but come not near this tree or you both will be of the Zalimun (wrong-doers)."
In Surah Ta-Ha [20:120]:
"Then Shaitan (Satan) whispered to him, saying : "O Adam! Shall I lead you to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that will never waste away?"
He planted a misconception; he told him a lie about Allah. As a result: [20:121]:
"Then they both ate of the tree, and so their private parts appeared to them, and they began to stick on themselves the leaves from Paradise for their covering. Thus did Adam disobey his Lord, so he went astray."
His job was to submit to Allah without questions. Trust Allah, do not trust anyone who tells you misconceptions about Allah, His Religion, His Prophet ﷺ.
-> Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه after the Night of Isra'a
When they told Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه about what the Prophet ﷺ had related after the night of Isra'a, he said:
لئن كأن قال فقد صدقت
If he indeed said this, then he has said the truth.
This is not just a sentence, it is a way we should approach things and live our lives. If Muhammed ﷺ said it, it is the truth. And that is why Abu Bakr is the highest. During Hudaibiyah - even when Umar did not accept the truth - and even after his death when people left Islam, he stuck to to it. He said, "He is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, keep with him." And the truth was this. After Hudaibiyah ten thousand people accepted Islam. So keep with Islam, do not ask how.
Islam is perfect. No one can say Islam has this or there is something wrong. Before no one talked about the inheritance of women in Islam, because they did not inherit at all. But when they made it by law, they started to attack Islam.
No one talked about Aisha being a young lady when she married the Prophet ﷺ, because they all did it.
Allah said in [5:3]:
الْيَوْمَ يَئِسَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن دِينِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِ ۚ الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الْإِسْلَامَ دِينًا
"...This day those who disbelieve have despaired of [defeating] your religion; so fear them not, but fear Me. This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion..."
Islam prevails, what we have to do is protect ourselves and our children. Allah said in Surah Al-Ankabut [29:2-3]:
"Do people think that they will be left alone because they say: "We believe," and will not be tested."
"And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test)."
Final Thoughts:
If they do not like Islam, you tell them:
If we do Da'wah, we are calling them to Paradise. Their Da'wah calls us to Hellfire.
Additional Points
Our children are a trust Allah placed in our hands, and Allah will ask us about them. They are in very dangerous times and have mobiles in their hands, and can reach anything. You have two weapons:
1. Invoke Allah everyday for yourself and for your children
Say:
اللهم احفظني بالإسلام قائماً، واحفظني بالإسلام قاعداً، واحفظني بالإسلام راقداً، ولا تشمت بي عدواً ولا حاسداً. اللهم إني أسألك من كل خير خزائنه بيدك، وأعوذ بك من كل شر خزائنه بيدك
O Allah! Protect me with Islam when standing, and protect me with Islam when sitting down, and protect me with Islam when reclining, and do not make an enemy or envier rejoice at me. O Allah! I ask you for every good whose stores are in Your Hand, and I seek refuge with you from every evil whose stores are in Your Hand." [Authenticated by Al-Albani]
Islam protects us, not we protecting it.
Children are clay, and you shape them the way you want. When they reach the teenage years they think they are knowledgeable and do not seek your advice. So teach them about their Religion while they are young.
Nowadays schools do not give them information about the religion. There is a war against Religion in the school itself, even if it is a Muslim School. Their religion will protect them, they will have an Aqeedah.
We are in a Muslim country, and in the university they hang their wishes on a tree and think it will be accepted, like ذات الأنوات. This is because they do not have Aqeedah; they do not know what is right or wrong. They commit Shirk and do not know that they are.
2. Protect yourself and children with the correct Aqeedah.
That is why after every Fajr prayer we say:
Because knowledge will increase your faith and protect you from the Fitnah around you.
