بِسْم الله الرحمن الرحيم
"Is not He (Allah Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things).'

Thursday is the end of the week and most people have many plans on how to enjoy the weekend, and this discourages many people from coming and learning the Qur'an. When the Prophet ﷺ wanted to encourage the companions to take care of the Qur'an, he ﷺ said,
أَيُّكُمْ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَغْدُوَ إِلَى بُطْحَانَ أَوِ الْعَقِيقِ فَيَأْخُذَ نَاقَتَيْنِ كَوْمَاوَيْنِ زَهْرَاوَيْنِ بِغَيْرِ إِثْمٍ بِاللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَلاَ قَطْعِ رَحِمٍ " . قَالُوا كُلُّنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " فَلأَنْ يَغْدُوَ أَحَدُكُمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَتَعَلَّمَ آيَتَيْنِ مِنْ كِتَابِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ نَاقَتَيْنِ وَإِنْ ثَلاَثٌ فَثَلاَثٌ مِثْلُ أَعْدَادِهِنَّ مِنَ الإِبِلِ
"Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthan or Al-'Aqiq and bring two large humped and fat she-camels without being guilty of sin and severing ties of relationship ? They (the people) said: Messenger of Allah, we would all like that. He said: If any one of you goes out in the morning to the mosque and learns two verses of the Book of Allah, the Exalted, it is better for him than two she-camels, and three verses are better for him than three she-camels, and so on than their numbers in camels." [Abu Dawud #1456 and graded Sahih by Al-Albani]
At that time, humped she-camels were a fortune.
The Prophet ﷺ wanted to encourage the Companions to study the Qur'an, to make their hearts attached to what Allah loves, and leave the riches of the Dunya to the people of the Dunya.
When the Prophet ﷺ set this parable forth, he emphasizes that studying just one or two verses in the Qur'an is heavier on the scale than having two she-camels. During the time you slacken or feel lazy to come, remind yourself of these texts to remind yourself that what you are doing is not something little. It is better than all what is in this world of riches. There is nothing compared to learning two or three verses, understanding, and acting upon them. This is the fortune you should take care of and be worried about missing.
At the end of the week the people of the Dunya think about the Dunya. Be different from them, make your concern the Qur'an and to please Allah. The Prophet ﷺ said:
"خيركم من تعلم القرآن و علمه"
"The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it." [Al-Bukhari].
If you do not appreciate gatherings, you may be deprived from it.
The Qur'an is the means of purification of our soul. When we study Surah Al-Insan, your heart is not as if it is in the Dunya, but in the hereafter, especially when you hear about the delights of the People of Paradise. What did they do that made them deserve this delight? Allah mentioned some of their characteristics:
1) They vow; and this vow refers to voluntary deeds which they obligate upon themselves, and fulfill. They promise Allah that if they get the chance to do good they would, and they fulfill their promise.
2) They fear Allah and this fear prevented them from committing sins.
3) They give food and money to the poor, despite their love of it. They preferred the Love of Allah over their love of food.
How did Allah receive them on the Day of Judgement?
1) Allah saved them from the fear of that Day
2) Allah honoured them and granted them beauty on their faces and delight in their heart. Allah combined both outward and inward delights.
3) Because they were patient in performing good deeds, in abstaining from sins, and upon the Qadar that befell them, Allah gave them Paradise and silken garments. Silken garments are mentioned to indicate the comfort they will be in.
Allah then describes their delight in Paradise: How they recline on couches, how the fruits come near to them when they are sitting, walking, lying down. They do not need to exert effort to get what they want. This is Allah's Appreciation for what they used to do in the Dunya.
Verse 19-20:
"And round about them will (serve) boys of everlasting youth. If you see them, you would think them scattered pearls."
"And when you look there (in Paradise), you will see a delight (that cannot be imagined), and a great dominion."
(و يطوف) على أهل الجنة، في طعامهم و شرابهم و خدمتهم (ولدان مخلدون) أي: خلقوا من الجنة للبقاء، لا يتغيرون و لا يكبرون و هم في غاية الحسن.
(إذا رأيتهم) منتشرين في خدمتهم (حسبتم) من حسنهم (لؤلؤ منثورا)، و هاذا من تمام لذة أهل الجنة، أن يكون خدامهم الولدان المخلدون، الذين تسر رؤيتهم و يدخلون على مساكنهم، آمنين من تبعتهم و يأتونهم بما يدعون و تطلبه نفوسهم
When you see something beautiful, it brings joy to your heart. Seeing servants who are beautiful will add to their delight and joy. In this Dunya we may have servants, but we may be afraid of their evil. In Paradise there is no fear, because Paradise does not contain any sinful desire.
(و إذا رأيت ثمّ) أي: هناك في الجنة، ورمقت ما هم فيه من النعيم، (رأيت نعيما و ملكاً كبيراً) فتجد الواحد منهم عنده من القصور و المساكن و الغرف المزينة الزخرفة، ما لا يدركه الوصف.
و لديه من البساتين الزاهرة، و الثمار الدانية، و الفىواكه اللذيذة، و الأنهار الجارية، و الرياض المعجبة، و الطيور المطربة [المسجية]، ما يأخذ بالقلوب و يفرح النفوس.
و عنده من الزوجات اللاتي هن في غاية الحسن و الإحسان، الجامعات الحمال الظاهر و الباطن، الخيرات الحسان، ما يملأ القلب سروراً و لذةّ و حبوراً. و حوله من الولدان المخلدين، و الخدم المؤيدين، ما به تحصل الراحة و الطمأنينة، و تتم لذة العيش، و تكمل الغبطة.
"ثم" means there; far there. If you looked far in Paradise, you would see a delight and great dominion. This is one part of the delight of Paradise.
All the delights are seen by the eyes. They are not something spiritual or limited to the imagination. The delights are tangible; you hear, touch, feel it.
Then the Sheikh mentioned the second delight, which is greater than the first delight:
ثم علاوة ذالك و معظمه، الفوز برؤية الرب الرحيم، و سماع خطابه، و لذة قربة، و الابتهاج برضاه، و الخلود الدائم، و تزايد ما هم فيه من النعيم كل وقت و حين.
فسبحان الملك المالك، الحق المبين، الذي لا تنفد خزائنه، و لا يقل خيره، فكما لا نهاية لأوصافه، فلا نهاية لبره و إحسانه.
The delight and beauty in Paradise do not remain in the same state. It will always increase, increase, increase, for eternity. There are some people who think that it will be boring to stay in the same state, but Allah as says in Surah Al-Kahf [18:108]:
"Wherein they shall dwell (forever). No desire will they have to be removed therefrom."
They will never feel bored, because the delights in Paradise increase without limit. As there are no limits to the Attributes of Allah, there are no limits to His Generosity, Kindness, and Mercy.
All Perfection is due to Allah. Whatever you hear of Allah's Attributes in the Dunya, is only the amount you need to worship Him and know Him in your life. On the Day of Judgement you will witness and realize just how Perfect Allah is. It is beyond our capacity to encompass any Attribute of Allah, because they are vast and unlimited, but on the Day of Judgement we will really come to know that Allah is Perfect, and His Generosity is limitless. In the Dunya we may witness some of the impacts of His Attributes, just that much to keep us firm on the right path until we meet Him. You will come to know more about His Wisdom, Mercy, Generosity, Kindness, on the Day of Judgement.
He is the loser who does not know Allah in this Dunya. Whoever knows Allah in this Dunya and deals with Allah and believes in Him, will be a winner on the Day of Judgement. But those who turn away from Allah and prefer the Dunya over the Hereafter will be losers on that Day.
Verse 21-22:
"Their garments will be of fine green silk, and gold embroidery. They will be adorned with bracelets of silver, and their Lord will give them a pure drink."
"(And it will be said to them): "Verily, this is a reward for you, and your endeavour has been accepted."
(عاليهم ثياب سندس خضر) أي: قد جللتهم ثياب السندس و الإستبرق الأخضران اللذان هما أجَلَّ أنواع الحرير، فالسندس: ما غلط من الديباج، و الإستبرق: ما رقّ منه.
(و حلّوا أسار من فِضَّة) أي: حلوا في أيديهم أساور الفضة، ذكورهم و إنائثهم ، و هاذا وعد وعدهم الله، و كان وعده مفعولا، لأنه لا أصدق منه قيلاً و لا حديثاً.
This is the third drink Allah mentioned in this Surah.
Some Scholars say that after they eat and drink, they will be given this pure drink, to purify their inner selves, such that they do not need to defecate or urinate, unlike the People in the Dunya. It will then come in the form of sweat which smells like musk; and this is how they will get rid of anything in their body. In this Dunya people need to defecate or urinate in order to remove harm from their body, but they will not need to do that in Paradise.
(إنّ هاذا) الجزاء الجزيل و العطاء الجميل (كان لكم جزاء) على ما أسلفتموه من الأعمال
(و كان سعيكم مشكورا) أي: القليل منه يجعل الله لكم به من النعيم المقيم ما لا يمكن حصره
"مشكورا" = Allah, who is الشاكر الشكور appreciated their good deed, accepted it, and rewarded them for it abundantly. For the small actions they performed, Allah will grant them eternal delight without measure.
This means that Paradise, whose beauty and delights you have heard about, is not a compensation for your deeds. Because our deeds are not perfect. Therefore, as the Prophet ﷺ said:
لَنْ يُدْخِلَ أَحَدًا عَمَلُهُ الْجَنَّةَ ". قَالُوا وَلاَ أَنْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ " لاَ، وَلاَ أَنَا إِلاَّ أَنْ يَتَغَمَّدَنِي اللَّهُ بِفَضْلٍ وَرَحْمَةٍ فَسَدِّدُوا وَقَارِبُوا وَلاَ يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ إِمَّا مُحْسِنًا فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَزْدَادَ خَيْرًا، وَإِمَّا مُسِيئًا فَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَسْتَعْتِبَ
"The good deeds of any person will not make him enter Paradise." (i.e., None can enter Paradise through his good deeds.) They (the Prophet's companions) said, 'Not even you, O Allah's Messenger ﷺ?' He said, "Not even myself, unless Allah bestows His favor and mercy on me." So be moderate in your religious deeds and do the deeds that are within your ability: and none of you should wish for death, for if he is a good doer, he may increase his good deeds, and if he is an evil doer, he may repent to Allah." [Bukhari #5673]
However, this does not mean that you abandon taking action. The evidence for this is the same verse. Allah mentioned: - "سعيكم" - Your struggle, striving, action. You do your best and Allah will Appreciate it and give you Paradise for it.
When people do not want to put effort, they say الله كريم (Allah is Generous). Yes, Allah is كريم, but wiith those who put effort and struggle. He will accept their deeds, appreciates it, give them the full wage for it, as well as multiply the reward for that deficient deed. Because He is الشاكر الشكور.
Do not think that the recompense of the deed is a compensation for the deed. Allah is الشاكر. But there should be an action in order to attain the recompense; we should put effort.
Verses 23-30:
"Verily! It is We Who have sent down the Quran to you (O Muhammad ﷺ) by stages."
"Therefore be patient (O Muhammad ﷺ and submit to the Command of your Lord (Allah, by doing your duty to Him and by conveying His Message to mankind), and obey neither a sinner nor a disbeliever among them."
"And remember the Name of your Lord every morning and afternoon [i.e. offering of the Morning (Fajr), Zuhr, and 'Asr prayers]."
"And during night, prostrate yourself to Him (i.e. the offering of Maghrib and 'Isha' prayers), and glorify Him a long night through (i.e. Tahajjud prayer)."
"Verily! These (disbelievers) love the present life of this world, and put behind them a heavy Day (that will be hard)."
"It is We Who created them, and We have made them of strong built. And when We will, We can replace them with others like them with a complete replacement."
"Verily! This (Verses of the Quran) is an admonition, so whosoever wills, let him take a Path to his Lord (Allah)."
"But you cannot will, unless Allah wills. Verily, Allah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise."
"He will admit to His Mercy whom He will and as for the Zalimun, (polytheists, wrong-doers, etc.) He has prepared a painful torment."
There is a transition to another topic. After Allah talks about the delights of Paradise, Allah addresses the Prophet ﷺ regarding the revelation of the Qur'an.
و قوله تعالى لما ذكر نعيم الجنة: (إنَّا نحن نزلنا عليك القرآن تنزيلا) فيه الوعد و الوعيد و بيان كل ما يحتاجه العبد. و فيه الأمر بقيام بأوامره و شرائعه أتمّ القيام و السعي في تنفيذها، و الصبر على ذالك.
The Prophet ﷺ faced a lot of hardship from the Quraish. Allah is consoling him in this part of the Surah.
The Connection between this Division with the previous part of the Surah: The Qur'an consists of promises and warnings. Of the promises of Allah is Paradise.
و لهاذا قال: (فاصبر لحكم ربك و لا تطع منهم ءاثماً أو كَفُورا) أي: اصبر لحكمه القدري فلا تسخطه والحكمة الديني فامض عليه و لا يعوق عنك عائق.
The Connection between Verse 23 with Verse 24: The Qur'an contains laws. Allah mentioned what we need to do in the Qur'an, but we need patience in adhering to the laws and acting upon the commands of Allah.
1) "حكم القدري" - Whatever Allah decrees for His servants
2) "حكم الديني" - The Religious Laws
They both require patience
Allah revealed the Qur'an with all the laws, and we are commanded to abide by them, but who will prevent us from abiding by them? The sinners and disbelievers, who follow their desires. They rise doubts in order to prevent us from guarding the laws of Allah strictly.
(و لا تطع) من المعائدين الذين يريدون أن يصدوك (ءاثماً) أي: فاعلاً إثماً و معصية و لا كفوراً، فإن طاعة الكفار و الفجار و الفساق لا بد أن تكون في المعاصي، فلا يأمرون إلا بما تهواء أنفسهم.
This is an advice for us. Look at how the disbelievers are rising doubts regarding our religion. What should we advise each other with? To not listen to the disbelievers or the sinners. They are following their desires. Leave them and abide to the law of Allah. You have heard before that Allah rewarded the People of Paradise before for their patience. It is as if the entire Surah is talking about Patience. Allah gave Paradise to the People of Paradise because of their patience, and here Allah commands us to be patient. If you want to be of the People of Paradise, be patient upon the decreed and legal Decisions of Allah, and do not listen to the sinners and disbelievers.
Allah then mentions the means of staying patient:
و لما كان الصبر يساعده القيام بعبادة الله و الإكثار من ذكره، أمره الله بذالك، فقال: (واذكر اسم ربك بكرة و أصيلا) أي: أول النهار و آخره فدخل في ذالك الصلوات المكتوبات و ما يتبعها من النوافل، و الذكر، و التسبيح، و التهليل، و التكبير في هاذه الأوقات.
(و من الليل فاسجد له) أي: أكثر له من السجود، و لا يكون ذالك إلا بالإكثار من الصلاة.
(و سبحه ليلاً طويلاً)، و قد تقدم تقييد هاذا المطلق بقوله: (يأيها المزمل قم أليل إلا قليلا)
Q. How does this indicate the Obligatory Prayers?
A. Fajr Prayer: "بكرة"
Thuhr and Asr "أصيلا"
Maghrib and Isha "و من الليل"
Allah mentions how to be patient when you face the disbelievers. There are many temptations and Fitn around you. What will keep you patient on the right path?
The obligatory prayers, the voluntary prayers, remembering Allah in the morning and evening, praying Tahajjud. All these actions help the person on patience. It is as if patience is the core of the Surah. Everything you do in the Dunya of remembrance, of prayer, of Qiyam Al-Layl is to help you be patient until you meet Allah on the Day of Judgement. We have to increase in remembering Allah. Take care of Qiyam Al-Layl, even if you pray just two Rak'ah.
Your obedience and your remembrance will increase your faith. And when your faith is increased, your patient will increase. If your faith decreases, your patience will decrease. Take care of remembering Allah, of voluntary prayers, do not leave them in order that you increase in faith. If you neglect night prayers, remembrance of Allah in the morning and evening, it will cause your faith to go down, and accordingly your patience will diminish. Remember that the People of Paradise entered Paradise because of their patience.
[و قوله] (إنّ هؤلاء) أي: المكذبين لك أيها الرسول! بعد ما بينت لهم الآيات ورغبوا و رهبوا و مع ذالك لم يفد فيهم ذالك شيئا، بل لا يزالون يؤثرون (العاجلة) و يطمئنون إليها
(و يذرون) أي: يتركون العمل و يحملون (ورآءهم) أي: أمامهم (يوماً ثقيلا) و هو يوم القيامة الذي مقداره خمسون ألف سنة بما تعدون. و قال تعالى: (يقول الكافرين هاذا يوم عسر) فكأنهم ما خلقوا إلا للدنيا و الإقامة فيها
The believers in Paradise feared that day, and Allah tells us that the disbelievers and sinners abandoned it.
Allah described the Day of Judgement with many descriptions in this Surah, and the word "يوم" is repeated many times, to draw our attention to that day.
1) "يوم شره مستطيرا"
2) "يوم عُبوسا قمطريرا"
3) "يوم ثقيلا" - It is a heavy day, but for whom? The disbelievers.
"إنَّا هاولاء" - These are the "ءاثما كفورا"
Why should we not obey them? "يحبون العاجلة و يذرون وراءهم"
The problem with these people is that they love the عاجلة and are not patient. They want everything now, in the Dunya.
The Link between Verse 23 with this Verse: Allah sent the Qur'an, which comprises of everything; of promises and warnings. But this did not avail the disbelievers. The disbelievers have no excuse, because Allah explained everything to them, exhorted and warned them. Allah mentioned Paradise, and the descriptions of the People of Hell in the Qur'an, but all this did not benefit the disbelievers.
The link between this verse with the beginning of the Surah:
In his commentary of the beginning of the Surah, As-Sa'di said:
ثم أرسل إليه الرسل، و أنزل عليه الكتب و هداه الطريق الموصلة إليه و بيّنها، و رغبة فيها و أخبره بما له إذا سلكها، و ابتلاه بذالك. ثم أخبره بالطريق الموصلة إلى الهلاك و رهّبة منها، و أخبره بما له إذا سلكها و ابتلاه بذالك.
Allah then sent the Messengers to humankind, revealed the books to them, and guided the, to the path that leads to Him. He encouraged this path, for them, and informed them of what they will attain when they return to Him. Allah also informed them of the path that leads to destruction, warned the, against it, and informed them of what they will earn of they take its path.
Allah showed man the path to salvation and the path to destruction; He Guided man to the سبيل. In Surah Al-Balad [90:10]:
"And shown him the two ways (good and evil)"
Allah showed man the way to Paradise and the way to Hell. But there are people who are disbelievers. They have no excuse with Allah, because Allah sent Messengers, revealed Books, and showed both ways to man.
ثم استدل عليهم و على بعثهم بدليل عقلي، و هو دليل الابتداء فقال: (نحن خلقناهم) أي: أوجدناهم من العدم (و شددنا أسرهم) أي: أحكمنا خلقتهم بالأعصاب، و العروق، و الأوتار، و القوى الظاهرة و الباطنة، حتى تم الجسم و استكمل و تمكن من كل ما يريده.
فالذي أوجدهم على هاذه الحالة قادر على أن يعيدهم بعد موتهم الحزائهم و الذي نقلهم في هاذه الدار إلى هاذه الأطوار، لا يليق به أن يتركهم سدى، لا يؤمرون، و لا ينهون، و لا يثابون، و لا يعاقبون،
In the beginning of the Surah, Allah said:
"Verily, We have created man from Nutfah drops of mixed semen (discharge of man and woman), in order to try him, so We made him hearer, seer."
How could Allah created humans for nothing and without a purpose? Allah created man, commanded him, and will resurrect and recompense him accordingly. Would Allah perfect our creation to merely enjoy or did He create us to fulfill the purpose behind our creation? Allah gave the disbelievers strong form and statures but disobeyed Allah with it; they did not use their body in obeying Allah.
In Surah Al-Qiyamah [75:36-40]:
"Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him]?"
"Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth?"
"Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion."
"And made him in two sexes, male and female."
This is not the correct translation, although the meaning is correct. This is the opinion of other Sheikhs. But as-Sa'di said:
و لهاذا قال: (و إذا شئنا بدلنا أمثالهم تبديلا) أي: أنشأناهم للبعث نشأة أخرى، و أعدناهم بأعيانهم و هم بأنفسهم أمثالهم
Meaning: We can create them for resurrection in another creation, and bring them for recompense.
Allah is Able to create them again on the Day of Resurrection for Recompense. This is the opinion of As-Sa'di.
There are thus two interpretations for this verse, and both are correct.
(إنّ هاذه تذكرة) أي: يتذكر بها المؤمن، فينتفع بما فيها من التخويف و الترغيب
"هاذه" could refer to the Qur'an, this Surah, or the verses you have heard before.
(فمن شاء اتخذ إلى ربه سبيلا) أي: طريقاً موصلاً إليه فالله يُبين الحق و الهدى، ثم يخير الناس بين الاهتداء بها أو النفوز عنها مع قيام الحجة عليهم.
When Allah created man, He gave him the choice, the will, and the ability to choose. And He showed us both ways. It is up to us to choose. And we are responsible for whatever we choose.
If you have chosen the truth, then Allah guided you to do that. Allah gave man eyes, ears, strength in his body, all that which he can use to lead him to Allah. It is up to man to choose either path,either to paradise or Hell. So لا حول و لا قوة الا بالله. Allah is the One who gives the strength and power, but it is up to us to choose.
You just need to be truthful with Allah. Allah knows about your truthfulness and He will guide you. If you are not truthful, and Allah knows about your untruthfulness, He will not guide you. It is not enough to choose the truth, you have to be truthful, and ask Allah to give you the strength and the ability to act upon that path. Say لا حول و لا قوة الا بالله, because it is Allah who gives us the strength to take the action. We have two types of guidance:
1) هداية الدلالة - Guidancd in showing the path
2) هداية التوفيق - Guidance of choosing and acting upon it.
Allah showed us the truth in the Qur'an. What should we do? Choose. And ask Allah for strength to help you act upon the truth. This is how you show Allah your truthfulness. Then Allah will guide you.
You have to put effort - "و كان سعيكم مشكورا"
Do not sit and say if Allah wills He will guide me. We have to put effort because Allah mentioned سعي. We have to believe + perform righteous deeds. Even if your deed is little, Allah appreciates, but at least show Allah your truthfulness in order for Allah to guide you. It is not a matter of claiming to like to be guided, to like to be a good person. It is not a matter of what you like to do, it is a matter of action. Show Allah your truthfulness, and Allah will guide you.
(و ما تشآءون إلا أن يشاء الله) فإن مشيئة الله نافذة.
(إن الله كان عَلِيما حكيما) فله الحكمة في هداية المهتدي و إضلال الضال
Allah Knows our Truthfulness, and will accordingly guide. There are people whom Allah did not guide because they did not have the will to act upon that path. Allah is عليم حكيم, He knows what is in the hearts. If you are truthful Allah will never let you down or forsake you, He will help you and give you the strength.
There are times when we are not successful. This is when we need to check our truthfulness. Allah did not help me because there is something wrong with me.
Even when the wrongdoers and sinners will to commit the sin, Allah may not help them in the beginning. But again and again, when they persist in taking the means, Allah will leave them to do the sin.
Belief: NOTHING in the world occurs independently of the Will of Allah.
What you hear of oppression, killing, persecution, occurs with the Will of Allah. Allah is عليم and حكيم. There is a Wisdom in what is happening. Allah's مشيئة is connected with His Knowledge and Wisdom. We cannot comprehend the Wisdom now, but we may know later, or on the Day of Judgement. Nothing can happen in the Dominion of Allah without His Will. Be at rest, have confidence and trust in Allah, stay firm on the right path, and you will see the good later on.
Allah gives the evil doers permission to transgress in sin, until He takes them with His seizure. And when Allah takes them, they will never be let go.
Some people claim that they have no will. Allah gave you the ability and strength to take the action. And you have the choice to choose. Whatever you choose is according to the Will of Allah.
(يدخل من يشاء في رحمته) فيختصه بعنايته و يوفقه الأسباب السعادة و يهديه لطرقها
(و الظالمين) الذين اختاروا الشقاء على الهدى (أعدّ لهم عذابا أليما) [بظلمهم و عدوانهم]
The Mercy of Allah is Guidance.
Allah started the Surah with the two groups, and ended with the two groups. There is a group Allah takes into His Mercy, and the other group in the end will have a painful torment. They do not have excuse, because Allah هديناه سبيلا and نزل القران تنزيلا.
Therefore when the people of Hell enter Hell on the Day of Judgement they will say الحمد لله, because they would have witnessed the Justice of Allah, and will admit their wrongdoing.
