One of the Salaf said, "If I disobey Allah, I see that in the attitude of my riding beast and wife"

Sins are a cause of humiliation for the slave with His Lord and result in falling (in degrees) from the Eyes of Allah.
In Surah Al-Isra'a [17:70]:
"And indeed We have honoured the Children of Adam, and We have carried them on land and sea, and have provided them with At-Taiyibat (lawful good things), and have preferred them above many of those whom We have created with a marked preference."
And in Surah At-Tin [95:4]:
"Verily, We created man of the best stature (mould)"
Allah honoured you, and give you the best of nurturing. Allah nurtured the animals, but not the way He nurtured us humans. He gave us the best of the best of the best, because He wants the best from us. In Surah Al-Mulk [67:2]:
"Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed. And He is the All-Mighty, the Oft-Forgiving;"
And yet after all this, we commit sins. We all fall into sins, but you have to take the means to avoid them as much as you can and repent if you fall into it. Sins are a cause of disgrace and humiliation. When you commit sins, you fall from the eyes of Allah. And when you fall from the eyes of Allah, you fall from the eyes of everyone else. There is no value for this person. And this is why the People of Hell are in Hell - because they have no value. They are the fuel of Hellfire along with stones. In Surah AlBaqarah [2:24]:
"But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers."
There is no benefit from them. Someone, after Allah brought, educated, nurtured, guided him, and then he commits sins. Allah is Rich, that is why it is a reason for your humiliation.
Al-Hasan Al-Basri said, "They commit sins because they are humiliated. For if they had some value, Allah would have protected them from sin."
For example, if your son or daughter tries to do something wrong, you will quickly try to stop them. Because they are عزيز; they have a position with you. But when you do not care about someone, because they already have a history of disobedience and rebellion, you will leave them to do whatever they want. As you disobey Allah, as your value as a person will decrease.
"....And if anyone is humiliated in the eyes of Allah, none can grant him honour. As Allah says in Surah AlHajj [22:18]:
'And whomsoever Allah disgraces, none can honour him.'"
Do not think people will give you honour or position. Just focus on Allah. We get so deceived in life thinking about X and Y, and Z. It is actually just you and Allah - even if there are people in the middle. If you do not have value with Allah, the value people give you is just fake value.
"..And even if the people outwardly magnify a person, it is because of their need of him or fear of his evil, although in their hearts he may be the most humiliated worthless thing"
In life, when someone brings another person up, it is not because he deserves to be up - but because they need him. If you do not need him, you do not talk about him.
Another reason people magnify another person is because when they fear an evil from them. Do not believe it when people give you value, because many times it is dependent on their emotions. There is no value for a person, except the value Allah gives him. So live in life for Allah, to Allah, while everything is from Him. One to One.
The slave will continue to commit sins until he underestimates it and it becomes something small in his heart.
When people get used to committing sins, they do not see what they are doing as something great. Sometimes you may feel fine and then go to see the doctor and they tell you that you have all these vitamin deficiencies. If you live your life with deficiencies for so long and do not treat it, your body gets used to it and you do not feel like you have it anymore. The body adjusts and gets immune to feeling the symptoms, although these deficiencies may be getting worse and worse.
If you get used to committing sins, even if they are minor, you will get immune to feeling the symptoms. A good heart feels guilty and restless when it commits sins.
That is why you see people who get used to oppressing others not feeling guilty. They sleep fine at night. Because there are no symptoms. And this is a huge problem. This is why we should always make استغفار because we do not know what sins we are used to.
"...and that is a sign of destruction, because the more a sin is looked as small in the eyes of the slave, the greater it is in the sight of Allah"
If you see backbiting as something minor, it will become great in the sight of Allah.
And Al-Bukhari رحمه الله mentioned in his Saheeh a saying by Ibn Masoud رضي الله عنه:
"Verily The believer sees his sins as if he is sitting at the foot of a mountain fearing that it might fall on him, while the sinner (fâjir) sees his sins as a fly that lands on his nose, he just waves it away."
The cure comes from feeling the sin is a sin. You need to be afraid that the sin will destroy you in the end. You know when you are doing something wrong, you do not need anyone to tell you that it is wrong.
And from them: The evil of the sin of a person affects other humans and animals. So he will burn and the people around him will burn because of the sins and wrongdoing
If everything is messed up around you, you need to look at yourself first. Make إستغفار. Your environment becomes disturbed when you commit sins, whether it affects the people, animals, or even the objects around you. The person who commits sins pollutes the environment. We need to get rid of it - not get used to it.
If something is not working or someone is not listening it is because of something you did. You may not know what exactly it is, but seek forgiveness from Allah.
In Surah Ar-Rum [30:41]:
"Evil (sins and disobedience of Allah, etc.) has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of men have earned (by oppression and evil deeds, etc.), that Allah may make them taste a part of that which they have done, in order that they may return (by repenting to Allah, and begging His Pardon)."
