Dua when you feel Pain - Class Three - (31/7/16)

بِسْم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In another narration:

He did not say, "My pain went away" but "Allah took what I had been suffering away". We should have manners with Allah. You get the results instantly with this Dua.

There is no need to blow. Put your right hand (or left, if you cannot use your right) where the pain is and say the following:

"أعوذ بعزة الله"
There are 3 types of عزة:
1) عزة القوة
2) عزة الإمتناع
3) عزة القهر و الغلبة

"و قدرته"
You want Allah to remove your pain, and you are afraid that your pain will get worse. Which is why you say: "من شر ما أجد و أحاذر"

Ibn AlQayyim said you are remembering Allah, having Tawakkul of Allah, and seeking refuge with Allah in this Dua. And you repeat this Dua 7 times, just as you repeat the dosage of the medicine. There is a special wisdom of Allah in ordaining it to be repeated seven times.

You will get the results instantly, but do not say, "Let me test this and see if it works". You need to say it with certainty, belief, and strong Tawakkul in Allah. The pain will go at once.

Do not think that the medication of doctors will benefit you more than the medication of your Creator. Ruqya is more beneficial to the slave, but it requires strong Belief, Tawakkul, Trust, Certainty in Allah. Do not doubt or suspect that Allah will not benefit you by this Dua. The companion whom the Prophet ﷺ ordered to say this had certainty, and he used to order his family after him to say it.

There are other Duas for Ruqya. We can recite Surah Al-Fatihah 7x for example, but say it with concentration and while understanding the meaning.
