بِسْم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In the Qur'an, Allah always directs us to look at the sky, the sea, and His creation. These creations are so vast, and even make you feel vast. We are surrounded by vastness, and we need to be vast in our hearts, thinking, and even in the way we deal with people.
Allah said in [2:286]:
Each of us has a certain capacity. One person can do more obligations than others, another can have more Taqwa, etc. Allah doesn't ask you to do more nor less than you can or should do. You should exert the maximum effort.
And if Allah is like this with His rights, this should affect our relationship with people. We shouldn't burden them more than their scope.
E.g. The helpers. Don't give them more work than they're able to handle.
We should be easy with people. Sometimes we expect people to be like we are, but that's not how it works. That's why in [7:199]:
The names of Allah teach us how to live our lives. The person who knows Allah reacts differently from the person who doesn't know Allah.
-------------
The Impacts of Knowing Allah's name الواسع / How can I worship Allah by His name الواسع?
1) It'll make you love Allah
2) It'll make you have hope in Allah.
3) The person who knows the name of Allah الواسع will repel the whispers of Shaytan
In [2:268]:
The Shaytan tells you if you don't do the evil, you'll be in need, you won't have anything. Don't spend money, you'll be poor. All the bad scenarios in our minds are from the Shaytan.
If he tells you you'll have a problem, you say no Allah is الواسع. If he tells you you'll be poor, say Allah is الواسع. If he tells you you're going to be in need, say Allah is الواسع.
Allah is الواسع in everything. In the cure, in the provision, in everything. He'll always find a way out for you.
But as soon as you have a problem, the Shaytan will tell you that you're stuck in it and there's no way out. He wants you to be stuck in a situation, unable to get out, with your mind blocked, no solution. When that happens, you'll be ungrateful to Allah.
So the solution to the whispers of the Shaytan is the name of Allah الواسع.
In [7:12]:
This reaction shows us that the Shaytan is narrow minded. He put obstacles in front of himself, preventing him from obeying Allah. The racism, pride, arrogance, are all narrow.
In all the problems we face, we should go back to the first example of Iblis with Adam. He continues to do this with the sons of Adam:- He whispers in our minds and his waswaas is just like him - narrow minded. And all his whispers are negative and bad for us. But it's narrow; he can't do more than whisper.
In [4:76]:
4) The person who knows the name of Allah الواسع will never despair in the mercy of Allah, especially when he commits a sin.
We all commit mistakes. If we didn't commit sins, Allah would replace us with people who commit sins and ask Allah to forgive them.
If we never committed sins and we were perfect, we'd feel good, self-sufficient, and amazed with ourselves. And this can destroy a person.
But when we don't pray Qiyam, wake up late for Fajr, we feel terrible and make lots of استغفار and cry. This situation is better than the former example. Doing sins and feel guilty is better than to do a good deed and feel proud about it.
We all slip at times, and the Shaytan comes and tells you that there's no hope for you, and makes you feel awful. He tells you not to do good deeds because you're not worthy of it. But Allah's mercy is vast. There is no restriction to the mercy of Allah, even if you accidentally fell into the same sin a hundred times.
With people, we make a mistake once, twice, and we don't have the guts to face them. But with Allah, if you slip, إن ربك واسع المغفرة. We're humans and it's natural to accidentally make mistakes, but this isn't an excuse to persist in sin.
In [53:32]:
If a person commits all the sins, drinking, gambling, spoke evil of Allah, and then becomes a Muslim - all of his sins will be forgiven. Because Allah is vast in His mercy. He knows we need واسع المغفرة.
And if this is his Allah deals with you, then why aren't you vast in forgiveness with others? This name should affect our forgiveness. Don't be an accountant for the mistakes of the people. Be an accountant for your own mistakes.
When you constantly follow up other people's mistakes and what they do, you'll make them lie, becomes hypocrites. You'll prevent the other person from being able to breathe. Be easy with people.
5) الفرح (Happiness) with the Shari'ah of Allah
If humans don't have boundaries, they'll be lost. That's why we say 17 times a day:
الصراط المستقيم is a straight line. The Shari'ah of Allah, although there are restrictions, is so vast and includes all goodness. We should feel happy with this.
In [10:58]:
E.g. Scientists have found all health benefits in prayer. We don't pray for that reason, but because Allah ordered us to, but we get all the benefits when we do. Same goes for fasting. And charity. And all the commands of Allah. Anything Allah commanded us وسع كل خير.
At the same time, this should prevent us from innovating in the religion.
