Name of Allah الرقيب - Introduction - 4a

Allah says in (82:6):

You can see the impacts of Allah's generosity in your life. What made you careless about fulfilling His rights? What made you dare to commit a sin without regarding His punishment? Don't you believe that your Lord is Great? What made you belittle His punishment?

Allah mentioned His name الرب - He is the One who created you, brought you into existence, provides you with everything you need, responds when you call unto Him, supports you when you need Him, cures you when you are sick, reforms your affairs in the best manner. He is your Lord. He is قيوم over you. You are under His guardianship and protection day and night. So what made you neglect His rights?

Do we have an answer to this question? Allah will ask us about this on the Day of Judgement.

What made us fall into shortcomings regarding Allah? Weak faith in Allah. And this weak belief is due to lack of knowledge about Allah. We don't have enough knowledge.

The true believer knows about Allah and his religion in detail. Ask yourself: How much knowledge do I have in my heart about Allah?

While we are in this Dunya we have to learn about Allah, His names, attributes, what pleases and displeases Him in detail. Then we need to live and worship Allah according to this.

E.g. I learn that Allah is merciful. If I really believe in this, no matter what afflicts me in life, I believe that Allah wills good for me.

E.g. I believe Allah is الشافي. When I become sick, I know that only Allah can cure me and no one else.

Where will we learn about Allah? From the Qur'an and Sunnah. Read the Qur'an. Then reflect around you.

E.g. In (3:190):

We witness the alternation of the day and night. Reflect and ponder over it. It teaches us that Allah is merciful, all knowing, perfect, able.

We need to read the Qur'an then reflect over what's around us of universal signs as well as what's happening of Qadar. It will teach you who Allah is.

E.g. ZamZam water. What does this teach you about Allah? It has been gushing forth since the time of Ismaeels mother. This is a miracle. It indicates Allah's knowledge - He knows that billions of people will visit this place in the future. And what do they need? They need water.
And the Prophet ﷺ said that ZamZam is a food which nourishes and a healing for the sick. This water teaches you who Allah is - The All-Knowing, Merciful, Able, etc.

If you just reflect on one sign it'll increase your faith.
Our problem is that we are busy with our lives and have no time to reflect over things. Although Allah orders us to countless of times in the Qur'an:

Witness the impacts of Allah's attributes in everything around you. Reflect and think about Allah. This will increase your faith and benefit you on the Day of Judgement.
