اسم الله القدوس 7 (1)

We need to know the names of Allah, understand them, and act upon them. There are two ways to act upon them:

1) By calling Allah with these names

2) Worshipping Allah practically by this Name. Feel fear, love, hope, towards Allah. 

If everyone saw Allah they would submit to Him, run to Him, love Him, and wouldn't even look at anyone else. Allah is unseen in this world, but the believer believes and has certainty in Him. He worships Allah as if He sees Him. 

When we see someone loving or merciful, we get feelings towards them. Every name of Allah should provoke feelings in your heart. You get reward when you don't see Allah but still love Him, rely on Him, etc. This is belief in the unseen. 

When you learn about names of Allah, He won't just leave you with the knowledge. He will give you situations where you see the name around you. 

E.g. You know Allah, الرزاق. Allah will show you that it is really from Him, until you reach the level of certainty. Then when the trial comes, you will run to Allah for the رزق.

Allah is teaching us that He is القدوس. He is the most pure, His actions are most pure. All what He decreed is pure.

There are no faults in Him. And He doesn't lack in anything. He's perfect.

Everything from Allah is perfect. We are in the best situation. Whatever He commanded us is perfect. 

The Connection between purity and blessings: When you take the means of purity, Allah will bless you. 

We need to say تبارك الله or اللهم بارك whenever we are amazed by anything or see something nice. This is from Allah. When you say this, you are protecting yourself and others.

A person could even give evil eye to themself. The moment we are amazed by anything, it fails us. 

The evil eye may not be from someone who hates you, but someone who loves and is amazed with you. Even a mother can give it to her child. 

There was a man who was in a gathering and has children. One boy was serving everyone and he looked at his son proudly. As soon as he did, that boy fell sick, and his leg was paralyzed. He went to all doctors and they couldn't find anything wrong. Then Allah guided him, and a person told him to put the water he was drinking on his son, and as soon as he does his son was cured.

The Prophet ﷺ used to say, "اللهم لا عيش الا عيش الاخرة" whenever he saw something he liked in this world. Lower this Dunya in your heart. 

Don't cause harm to anything you love in this world. When you make dua for بركة you will enjoy the blessing, but if you don't it'll be defective. 

Situations where we need to make dua for بركة:

1) When you get a servant 

2) Buying a Car

3) For your wife or any new person in the house 

" إِذَا أَفَادَ أَحَدُكْمُ امْرَأَةً، أَوْ خَادِمًا، أَوْ دَابَّةً فَلْيَأْخُذْ بِنَاصِيَتِهَا، وَلْيَقُلْ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ خَيْرِهَا ، وَخَيْرِ مَا جُبِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا وَشَرِّ مَا جُبِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ "

There can be good or bad in them. When you say this دعاء you will find بركة in them. It will be a blessing for you.

We depend on the type of car, but a person on a camel might end up being safer than you. We think بركة is with people and objects. 

When you make دعاء Allah will give you the best. 

There was a lady who heard that her children got into an accident but she wasn't distressed because she said, "بِسْم الله لا يضر...." that day. And in the end they weren't hurt. We need to be confident when we say the دعاء.

4) For a newlywed couple

عنْ أبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنّ النبيّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كانَ إِذَا رَفّأَ الإنْسَانَ، إذَا تَزَوّجَ قالَ: “بَارَكَ الله لكما وبَارَكَ عَلَيْكَما وَجَمَعَ بَيْنَكُمَا في الْخَيْرِ” 

-> The Prophet ﷺ made a dua saying, "اللهم بارك لأمتي في بكورها" 

If you apply this, you will get these blessings. 

There was a businessman who used to start his business at the early hour of the day. He didn't do it because people were out or not, but because of this دعاء, and he was very successful.

-> The Prophet ﷺ made a dua for Anas Ibn Malik. He ﷺ said:

" اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ، وَبَارِكْ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ "

-> Sending Salat upon the Prophet ﷺ is a means of attaining بركة. 

" مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَىَّ وَاحِدَةً صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ عَشْرًا "

-> Make دعاء. 

"اللهم اجعلنا مباركين أينما كنا"

Sins deprive us of blessings. When we forget and become heedless it creates so many problems for us, whereas the moments we worship Allah are blessed moments. 

When you find your children are disobedient and there is no بركة, then go back to yourself and repent. Our sins are an obstacle when it comes to attaining بركة.
