اسم الله القدوس 3

-> This name is mentioned in the Qur'an twice:- in سورة الجمعة and سورة الحشر
-> It is connected to the name of Allah الملك.
-> القدوس means:

1) الطاهر
a) Allah is pure by Himself
- Allah is pure in His perfection
- Due to His purity, He deserves to be the One loved and magnified.
- Allah is so pure that no one resembles Him and thus no one can be equal to Him.

Knowing this name leads us to appreciate this religion. Allah doesn't want us to degrade ourselves to the point where we humble ourselves to and worship someone who can be impure and full of faults.

There is so much disobedience and rebellion towards Allah. But His purity is not harmed. Because He is القدوس.

E.g. Someone continuously insults and speaks negatively about you. If you don't have Taqwa you can get affected by this and start beginning to act like that. Your purity will be affected.

E.g. Small children are very pure. But as they grow older they might adopt mannerisms they pick up from the environment around them. They might have good manners in the beginning, but when they see other children banging doors, being rude, etc, they can get affected.

E.g. A person could take a shower, be clean, and then sit under the sun for two hours and won't smell good anymore.

Even if the whole nation speaks against Allah and disobeys Him, He is القدوس. No one can affect His purity.

b) Allah is the cause of the purification of others
He purifies whomever and whatever He wills. It could be a person, an object, or one of His creation. He does so according to His knowledge and wisdom.

Allah mentioned certain people whom He purified in the Qur'an:

-> The Angels
In (56:79):

How they are pure? They don't sin. They don't have desires. They don't answer the call of nature. They don't eat or drink. They are made of light. All they do is wait to follow the commands of Allah. They are physically pure as well as pure in their actions.

Allah is القدوس and purified the Angels. This purity doesn't affect Allah; He doesn't need them.

-> The Messengers
Allah purified them from Shirk, from الفاحشة. You can't find a Messenger lying, backbiting, committing adultery, etc.

They commit minor faults (like "عبس و تولى"), they have desires, etc. because they're human. But they're as pure as a human can be.

E.g. The Prophet ﷺ
The Jews used to make fun of the Prophet and say "Death upon you" instead of سلام عليكم as a joke. Ayesha understood this and would get angry and curse them back. But the Prophet ﷺ didn't get angry and told her to be gentle. The one who is pure will not lower himself to the level of the one who isn't. If they make fun of your religion, you don't make fun of theirs. The believer isn't someone who creates problems. And Allah will give you with gentleness what harshness can't achieve.

Allah is الرحيم and loves if you show mercy.
Allah is الكريم and loves those who are generous.

We can't be perfect, but be as perfect as a human being can be. Be pure with your faith. Let them say whatever they want to say. Allah knows what they are doing, and that's why there's a Day of Judgement. Don't ever think that the Dunya is the place to collect all your rights. No one will die having taken all his rights. If you want your rights, ask it from Allah who owns the rights. On the Day of Judgement, the people who didn't give you your rights will have to pay it to you with their good deeds.

This is why Allah says in (80:34-36):

Everyone will flee from each other because they don't want their family members to take their good deeds from them.

So many people called the Prophet ﷺ names. Allah said in (68:2):

-> The Wives of the Prophet
In (33:32-33):

Why did Allah command them with all these commands? To purify them. These commands are all a means of purity.
People can't affect you when you stay in your house and cover yourself. And when you obey Allah, do acts of worship, instead of gossiping and backbiting, you become purified.

-> Maryam

The wives of the Prophet ﷺ needed to follow conditions in order to achieve purity. But with Maryam in (3:42):

Allah chose her and purified her. She is an example of a pure, chaste woman.

Nowadays movies strip us of our purity and corrupts our thinking. If you watch movies about fornication, magic, etc. how do you think you will become?
Every type of corruption we hear or see will end up corrupting us and affecting our purity.

The entire society is based on the woman. If she's not pure, the society will be corrupt. But if she's good, her husband will be good, and her children will be good. If she talks evil, her household will do the same.

Abu Ahwas from Abdullaah who said that the Messenger ﷺ said: “The women is object of concealment, when she leaves the house, Shaytaan beautifies her (in the eyes of men)" [Authenticated Sahih by Shaykh Al-Albaani in Sunan of At-Tirmidhi 1173]

When she walks out indecently it affects the men and children and the whole society. Advertisers know this, and that's why whenever they want to sell a product they use a woman. Whether they're selling a car, a phone, a shampoo bottle, a man would buy a product he would not have normally bought because of the woman in the picture. This is how they manipulate men.

Maryam is an example of a pure woman. A woman should be shy. If your son is shy and modest even better. But it's become the opposite. If you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend or don't watch movies you become weird.
The more evil and impure something is the cooler it is. But the purity of something is noble and something to look up at. This is something we need to bring back into society.

In (3:43):

Worship Allah and don't expose yourself or your children to the Haraam. People think that doing so will make you immune to it, but all that happens is that it corrupts your mindset to the point where you believe all this evil is normal.
