1 اسم الله القدوس

Allah said in 7:180:

Knowing about Allah is the greatest delight. This life is imperfect. It is full of sorrow, calamities, and problems. But when you know and believe in Allah you will begin to see it through a different perspective; through the perfection of Allah. We get disappointed, hurt, and upset, because we look at life through our humanly eyes, and a very narrow perspective. But when you know Allah, you know that there is good in every single one of His actions. You will begin to enjoy every moment of your life. 

Allah is the One who created us, provides for us, looks after us. It doesn't make sense that we learn and know about everything else, and neglect learning about Him. Allah said in 51:56:

How can we worship Allah if we don't know Him? 

Be One slave for One Master.

This is a happy life. Even if there are problems and calamities you will feel like there is no problem. Knowledge of Allah changes the person from the root, and affects his behaviour. It'll make his دعاء and all his acts of worship more powerful, because he knows the One whom he's asking, he knows what he's doing in life. 

Studying the names of Allah is something that will not cease until death. And even if we spend months learning about one name of Allah, we wouldn't have completely covered it.

القدوس 

The Linguistic Meaning 

القدوس is an exaggerated form of the verb قدس, which has two meanings:

1) الطهارة 

E.g. بيت المقدس. It is a pure house. 

E.g. Jibreel is called روح القدس.

E.g. In (2:30):

2) البركة 

This is increment and blessings. 

E.g. In (17:1):

بيت المقدس is both pure and blessed. 

Where it's mentioned in the Qur'an

القدوس is mentioned twice in the Qur'an:

1) (59:23):

2) (62:1):

It is joined with the name of Allah 'الملك'. Allah is not just any King, He is a King that is pure and blessed. 

The Statement of the Scholars with regards to this Name

AlBayhaqi said: 

"القدوس هو الطاهر من العيوب" 

If you sit down to write down the faults of creation you can come up with a long list. People get tired, bored, feel jealous, are cruel, oppress, they lie, get sick, they die, etc.

Allah, your King, is free from all these faults. 

People get attached to other people when they think they're good and faultless. But everyone has faults and the tendency to make mistakes. Deal with people as if they are people, don't deal with them like they're angels. Let your heart be attached to Allah, who is free of faults. 

E.g. Man and woman complete each other. If the husband is short tempered, the wife is calm. If the wife is over emotional, the husband isn't. You balance each other out. 

E.g. Two women giving a testimony. Allah knows the womans ability and nature, she needs another woman to remind her.

"المنزه عن الأولاد و الأنداد"

Allah is القدوس, He is pure and free of faults and the need of children. No one can rival Him. Allah said in  (112:3-4):

"و هذه صفة يستحقها بذاته"

When you look at all the other deities people worship you will find that none of them are قدوس. They are not free of rivals, children, faults. 

Ibn alQayyim said:

 "القدوس هو المنزه من كل شر و نقس و عيب"

There are so many calamities around us which affect the way we think of Allah. One of the impacts of studying this name is حسن الظن بالله. It'll give you happiness in life. You will not be deceived with what your eyes see of problems. 

نقس -> Allah is free of shortage in His perfection. 

E.g. Our mercy isn't perfect. Sometimes we have mercy, and sometimes the actions of the people make us withhold our mercy. One day we will show mercy, one day we may not. Our mercy goes up and down. 

Allah is perfect. He is free from anyone affecting His perfection. 

Don't accept anything lesser than Allah. Why will you run to someone who is not قدوس? Everyone else has faults, deficiencies.

"القدوس هو الطاهر من كل عيب المنزه عما لا يليق به"  - Ahl At-Tafseer

Allah is free from everything which doesn't suit Him. 

"القدوس المعظم

المنزه عن صفات النقص كلها و عن يماثله أحد من خلقه

المنزه من العيوب

المنزه أن يقاربه أحد أو يماثله أحد في شيئ من الكمال"

Allah is the One who is magnified because He is pure from faults. Everyone has the tendency to forget and make mistakes, but Allah never gets tired or forgets, even though He provides for everyone. He is free from all imperfections. 

He is free of anyone being equal or near Him. 

If you gathered the mercy of all human beings it would not even come close to even one mercy of Allah. If you gathered all the beauty in life, it would not come near to the beauty of Allah. If you gathered all the knowledge everyone in this world had, it would not come close to the knowledge of Allah. Because He is القدوس.
