Sunday 10 - (13/12/15)

There is no one from the children of Adam except that he commits sins. Making the means of forgiveness of sins easy is a great blessing from Allah.

The Prophet ﷺ said, “No people sit together to remember Allah and then they disperse except that it is said to them “Disperse (or get up) for you have been forgiven” (Reported in Ahmad)

Have these intentions every time you come to class:
1) To acquire knowledge
2) So that your sins may be forgiven
3) So that your faith will increase

Allah said in (58:11):

Allah didn't specify these degrees. Why? People vary according to their faith and knowledge. As the person increases in knowledge, and accordingly faith, as his degree with Allah increases.

There is nothing like beneficial knowledge. It's even better than money, because when a person dies, the knowledge he imparted to others will continue to benefit him, whereas the money he collected comes to an end with him (unless it's spent in charity).
In addition to this, knowledge doesn't need to be kept in a safe like money does. Knowledge is in your heart and is with you wherever you go. You don't have to be worried about anyone stealing it from you. No matter how much you spend of it and give others, it will never reduce the amount you have. On the contrary, it'll increase your own knowledge.

"...Allah supports His slave as long as the slave is supportive of his brother; and he who treads the path in search of knowledge, Allah makes that path easy, leading to Jannah for him..." (Muslim)

As you spend of your knowledge, as Allah will increase you in knowledge  - Ibn Uthaymeen

One of the strongest means of securing knowledge is teaching it to others.
Whenever you learn something apply it, and then teach it to others. When you do this, your knowledge and faith will increase, and accordingly your degree with Allah will be higher. These are all linked together.

When we say teach it to others it could be teaching it to your children, husband, family members, or whomever you meet. Share whatever you learn.

When you teach others, Allah will establish the knowledge in your heart and teach you more.

One of the Salaf returned home after a gathering of knowledge and was looking for someone to share what he had learnt. He didn't find anyone except his servant who was sleeping. He woke him up and began to tell him what he learnt because he wanted knowledge to be established in his own heart.

The best man in Allah's sight is the one whom Allah taught, he acted upon it, and imparted it to others.

Thank Allah for opening the gate of acquiring knowledge. There are only a few people who appreciate this blessing, although it is the best blessing after Islam and Eeman. Be keen to learn more.
