Acting upon the Sunnah of the Prophet is one way of reviving it.
If people neither talk about it, practice it, nor teach it to others, it'll die. And innovations will take its place. This is why innovations prevail nowadays.
If you revive a Sunnah, you will get the reward of the act and the reward of everyone who follows you, without their reward being diminished.
HADITH: Some bedouins came to the Prophet and wore woollen clothes and looked poor. The Prophet felt sad for them and encouraged the companions to give them charity but they showed reluctance. The signs of anger appeared on the Prophet. A man of the Ansar came with a purse of silver, than another man followed him, until all the companions gave charity. Then the Peophet said, "He who starts a good practice in Islam, he will get the reward of every one without diminishing their reward. And whoever introduces an evil practice, he will bear his burden of sin and the burden of sin of all those who followed him"
Many people celebrate the birthday of the Prophet. They say there is nothing wrong with it, they're doing something good. Why is it considered a Bid'ah?
Good and evil practices are not according to our whims. It is known from the Shareeah, from the Qur'an and Sunnah.
Eg. A man saw a poor man and gave charity. The people saw him and copied him. Giving charity is Sunnah because the Prophet practiced, emphasised it and Allah mentioned about spending in the Qur'an. There is evidence that this is a good practice.
Albani said, "This Hadith means that whoever opens a way to a prescribed Sunnah then he will get a reward."
The Mu'tazilah judge according to their whims.
We have to remind each other of the Sunnahs, especially the ones which are forgotten.
Many people practice Umrah in Rajab and call it عمرة رجبيه. Ayesha refuted the Ibn Omar and said, "May Allah be merciful to him. He performed all the Omrahs with the Prophet and none of them in Rajab"
The Prophet performed 4 Omrahs, all of them in Dhul-Qa'dah, except for one which was in Shawwal.
There is no act of worship particular to Rajab.
Continuation of the Sunnahs related to Jum'ah:-
Q. Can the person perform Ghusl the night before?
A. According to Shaikh bin Othaymeen it should be after sunrise
It is Sunnah to recite Surah Al-A'la in the first Rak'ah, and Surah Al-Ghashiyah in the second Rak'ah. It is also Sunnah to recite Surah AlJum'ah in the first Rak'ah and Munafiqoon in the second.
After you finish the prayer, the Sunnah is to pray 4 Rak'ahs (this is preponderant over two, because the latter is the statement of a companion, and the former is the statement of the Prophet). 2+2
ساعة استجابه -> The hour on Friday in which duas are accepted. The most correct point of view is after Asr until Maghrib, especially the last hour before Maghrib.
