اهل القرآن are those who have knowledge of it and act upon it. They are the special people of Allah even if they didn't memorise it.
The Qur'an should impact the attitude of the person, his behaviour and actions.

Another merit of the حملة القرآن:
HADITH:  "If a person enters Paradise it will be said to him: Recite and Ascend. He will recite and ascend one degree for every verse until he recites the last thing he memorised"  (Ahmed)

Who is the صاحب القرآن?
صحبه is companionship. He is the person who constantly recites, ponders, acts over the Qur'an and adheres to it. He accompanies the Qur'an.
He is the One who recites the Qur'an and follows it's command and abstains from it's prohibitions.

It will be said اقرآ to him. In Paradise there are no assignments or imposition of tasks, it is the abode of delight, joy and pleasure. This Dunya is دار تكليف.
This recitation is قرآ تنعيم, this recitation will give him delight. As he enjoyed reciting the Qur'an in this world, He will enjoy reciting it in Paradise.

HADITH: "The people of Paradise will be inspired the glorification like we are inspired with breathing"

In Paradise there is no تكليف. No one will be accounted for not reciting the Qur'an or not praising Allah. Because doing so gave them joy in this life, they will do it with joy in the next life.

Paradise is of degrees.
"ولكل درجاة مما عملوا و يوفيهم آجرهم و هم لا يظلمون"
There are certain deeds in this world, that if you perform, you will be elevated in ranks with Allah. From among these are recitation of the Qur'an and implementing it.
If you are keen to have high ranks with Allah, search for the deeds that increase you in degrees.

It will be said to them to do ترتيل as they used to do in this world. Recite slowly, with rhythm and clearly. We need to take care of this in this world so that we will do it with joy in the next.

"Your position will be in the last verse you recited"
Ibn Qayyim said this could mean two things:
1) You will be upgraded for every verse you memorised.
2) You will be reciting and ascend and your position will be the last verse you acted upon from your memorisation.
This is more correct.

HADITH: "The Qur'an will be brought and the people who acted upon it"
The Qur'an will be a plea against the person if he doesn't act upon it.

The Qur'an is a شفاء. We want to act upon these verses and use the Qur'an as a cure of the sicknesses of our hearts.

- Advice -

"قل لعبادي الذين آمنوا يقيموا الصلواة و ينفقون مما رزقناهم سرا و علانية من قبل ان يأتي يوم لا بيع فيه و لا خلال"

عبادي = My Slaves
The servants of Allah are those who believe.

When Allah adds something to His noble self, this addition is considered an honour.
Ex. Allah called the كعبة 'my house' (بيتي)

Let them:
Establish the Prayer by fulfilling all it's acts.

Spend now and try to random yourself from the punishment on the Day of Judgement.
Before a day that comes where there is no بيع nor خلال.

(The Context)

In Verse 24:
Allah is setting a parable for the goodly word (لا اله الا الله) in the heart of a believer. It is like a tree which has roots fixed. These roots are the 7 conditions of The more you fulfil these conditions the stronger these roots will be. This will result in high branches, good deeds. If these are accepted, Allah will give the person the fruits, which is the reward.

In Verse 27:
Allah will keep them firm in the Dunya by guiding them to certainty when any doubt comes to them. They can repel these doubts.
Also if desires come to them, Allah will keep them firm in opposing these desires by preferring what Allah loves over what they loves.
A person will come across many situations in this world, He will keep those who believe firm.

The relation between these three verses: If you want to be kept firm then take care of these two means: Establishing the Prayer and انفاق
Allah joins between Eeman, Salaat and Infaq.

(22:34-35)

Who are المخبتين?
This is one of the high ranks with Allah that is called

Mujahid said, "They are those who find contentment in their hearts"
At-Thawri added, "Those who accept the decree of Allah"
As-Sa'di said, "He is الخاضع لربه (Submits himself to His Lord), Surrenders himself to the command of Allah, Humble himself to the Slaves of Allah"
Ibn Kathir explained them as Allah described them in Verse 35:

1) اذا ذكر الله وجلت قلوبهم
2) الصابرين على ما أصابهم
3) المقيمي الصلاة
4) و مما رزقناهم ينفقون

If you have these four descriptions, you will be considered a مخبت.
This verse is considered an exhortation for spending in the cause of Allah.

(63:9-11)

This Surah is important to understand because it talks about the characteristics of the hypocrites. Whenever Allah mentions the hypocrites in the Quran he is talking about those who are condemned with major hypocrisy, which brings a person out of the fold of Islam and condemns them to Hell.

In Surah 7:

They think that Islam is established because of their expenditure. If they think they are closing the door of spending, Allah will open dozens of gates for spending. The treasure belongs to Allah. If they don't spend, Allah will bring other people who spend.

In Verse 9:

Allah is calling us with our belief. Our Eeman requires us to act upon what Allah is going to say. If we didn't act upon what Allah is calling us it indicates the weakness of our faith.

Don't be indulged in the worldly life such that you have no time for the remembrance of Allah. One of the descriptions of the hypocrites that they are diverted by their wealth and children to an extent that they forgot to remember Allah.
Whoever does that is a loser with Allah.

Verse 10:

Allah is advising us to spend now before the time of death comes. The person will ask Allah for respite for a while not to pray, fast, but to spend. He remembers giving Sadaqah.

One of the rewards of those who spend in the way of Allah is that the angels will give them glad tidings of no fear and grief. The person who is dying is afraid, nothing will bring out this fear from him except charity.

Verse 11:
Allah does not give respite, we will die at the time appointed for us, not a second earlier or later.

Allah is emphasising this profusely. If the person dies and doesn't spend then the only person he can blame is himself.
If we do not act upon all these advices, then it will be against us. Even if we don't have money then at least with our feelings.

(Miserliness + Greediness)
Allah mentioned this word in 3 Verses in Singular form and 1 Verse in plural (Surah Ahzab)

(3:128)

Allah is mentioning a specific state between the husband and wife. If a woman fears نشوزا (cruelty). If the man is harming her in her body, wealth, or doesn't like her and turns away from her, then if the woman wants to continuing being a wife with him for reasons then there is no harm if she makes an agreement with the man. She will give up some of her rights to keep her as his wife.
Ex. The man may be good with the children not her. She will give up her rights or some of her rights and will be satisfied with that much. She is thinking of the interest.
The husband should accept this concession from her. There is no sin on both of them if they agree on this.
"الصلح خير" And it is better for the woman to stay with the husband and give up some of her rights than to separate.

When Sawdah became old, she was afraid that the Prophet would divorced. The wives of the Prophet in the Dunya are his wives in Paradise. She said keep me and I'll give my night to Ayesha and the Prophet agreed.

Allah considered this Ihsan. If the man doesn't like the woman but kept her Allah considers him a Muhsin.

"فان الله كان بما تعملون خبيرا"
Allah didn't mention the reward, He said he knows the apparent and hidden state. He knew why he agreed and didn't agree. Allah knows his intention. If he is really a good doer, don't think your good deed will go in vain.
If the woman gives some of her rights to the man then she should know that Allah knows and will give her her rights and reward her if not in this Dunya, in the Aakhirah.

There is one hindrance in this reconciliation that prevents people from agreeing: الشح.
Ex. The man doesn't want to spend nor give the rights of the women. He is being stingy.
Or the woman doesn't want to give away any of her rights.
The reconciliation will be difficult for them if they have الشح.

Everyone wants their full rights now, they don't think that Allah will recompense them.

Ibn Abbas, "The verse refers to when a man gives the choice to the woman between staying with him or leaving, in this case let the woman give away some of her rights for the good of her own self and the children"

الشح prevents a person from spending and makes them covet for their rights. They don't want to spend and they want more.

It is incumbent upon one to pluck this blameworthy character from his self. How? By المسامحة (Giving Away, Sacrificing). This will overcome the greediness that it is oneself.

This doesn't just apply to man and wife, but in any relationship, whether it is between siblings, with the head of a company, etc.
Allah will compensate you in another way, but pluck this شح from yourself.

When you give away some of your rights this is regarding your worldly rights, not religious rights.

When someone is guided to such conduct it will be easy for him to re conciliate. Yet this rarely happens. It's easy to talk, but in situations, everyone wants their full right.

Allah is aware of our inner self, our heart, and Allah will recompense us in full if you are patient in the state you are in.

(59:9)

Allah is describing the Ansar:
1) They love the Emigrants
2) There is no jealousy in their hearts for them. The rank of the emigrants are higher than the ranks of the Ansar and the Ansar didn't feel jealous when the Prophet gave the booty to the emigrants and not to them.
They would prefer the emigrants over themselves even though they were in need themselves.
This was revealed regarding the Ansari man who offered to entertain the Prophets guest. He took the guest to his house, told his wife to prepare food for the guest of the Prophet. They only had enough food for the children and he told his wife to put the children to sleep, dim the lights and let the guest eat.

A head of a sheep was given to an Ansari man as a gift and gave it to his brother who he thought was in need, who gave it to another brother who he thought was in need of it. This head moved past 7 families until it went back to the first family. A community with that spirit is a high society, they weren't greedy. They gave it all.

Ayesha used to get abundant fortune, and the day didn't go by until she distributed it. Her slave girl used to come and say we don't have anything to eat. And she would say, "Why didn't you remind me to keep for us". This was the attribute of the believers at that time.

We think of ourselves first.
الإيثار is the opposite of الشح. The more you try to prefer others of yourself, the more you will pluck this شح out of yourself.
Selflessness was the attribute of the Ansar and Muhajiroon, but nowadays selfishness is what has been spread amongst the people.

Prefer others over yourself in WORLDLY THINGS.

If you want to attain success with Allah, protect yourself from الشح and that is by spending, preference of others, etc.

(64:14-17)

التغابن is derived from the word بغن which means 'feeling of regret due to loss'
The day of judgement is also called يوم التغابن because many people will feel with regret for not taking advantage of this world.
The disbelievers will be the first to regret. When they see hell and paradise they will feel with بغن.
The believers will feel with بغن as well. When those in the low levels will see those in higher levels they will feel with regret.

Allah mentions the causes of بغن and the means of protection from it.

Verse 14:

They are a Fitnah which may prevent you from doing good, etc. because of this you may show anger to them, but forgive them and overlook.

Verse 15:
Your children and money are a trial and may cause you to be diverted from the nerd life. With Allah is a great reward.

Verse 16:

What will save me from feeling
1) Fear Allah as much as you can
2) Listen and Obey
3) Spend in Charity

Again Allah says:

Prefer what Allah loves over what you love all the time.
